A friend of mine, who drinks a cup of hot lemon water every morning, touted the benefits of doing so and encouraged me to try it, so I did, and now I’m hooked.
The benefits include detoxifying the body, aiding in weight loss, relieving stomach woes, controlling high blood pressure and arthritis, and assisting in healing respiratory and throat infections, just to name a few. I can tell you that when I sip a coffee cup full of warm water with the juice of half a lemon after breakfast and all morning, my appetite remains greatly decreased. I try and drink a plain cup in the morning and a cup in the mid afternoon mixed with green tea and honey. What a simple, natural, inexpensive way to treat yourself!
